Dad lives in St. Charles County. Where do I file Aid and Attendance from here is a geography question first. The pension is federal. The person who files it for free is local. Aid and Attendance or Housebound benefits are monthly payments added to a VA pension for qualified Veterans and survivors who need help with daily activities such as bathing, feeding, and dressing, or who are housebound. You cannot receive both add-ons at once. It is cash on a pension if the file clears, not a caregiver VA sends to O'Fallon or St. Peters. The claim still has to be filed. This page names the public doors that sit on a St. Charles address. It does not rank them, and it does not file the claim.
Block 01Where do I file Aid and Attendance from St. Charles County?
Start with the state. The Missouri Veterans Commission Veterans Service Program says accredited Veterans Service Officers provide counseling and assistance, complete and submit claims applications with the necessary documentation, and are located in almost every county. A VSO can also be co-located. Ask when you call MVC. Page Avenue is a benefits office. It is not the hospital, and it is not a home-care dispatcher.
VA St. Louis Health Care lists 1 Jefferson Barracks Drive, St. Louis, MO 63125-4199, and 915 North Grand Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63106-1621. Those campuses are health care. Enrollment, a primary care team, a social worker, Homemaker Aide hours, and questions about clinical programs live there. They are not where you file 21P-527EZ because a flyer said "go to the VA." From December 1, 2025, to November 30, 2026, the net worth limit to be eligible for Veterans Pension benefits is $163,699. For a Veteran with no dependents, VA lists the Maximum Annual Pension Rate as $17,441 without Housebound or Aid and Attendance, $21,313 with Housebound, and $29,093 with Aid and Attendance. The rest of the household sizes are on the same table. Open it. Do not take a kitchen-table estimate as the row.
VA also tells you how to apply online, by upload, by mail, in person, or with an accredited representative. An intent to file can protect the effective date while you gather the DD214 and the doctor's page. None of that requires a paid consultant. If someone is pushing an annuity as the price of filing, stop. If assets were already moved, or if an older adult was pressured to sign, Missouri's Adult Abuse and Neglect Hotline is 1-800-392-0210. That is a report, not a benefits strategy.
